Enjoy your time in the sun, but remember to take care
After a long winter of rain, snow and ice, it is little wonder that the current extended period of sunshine has been greeted with such relief and enthusiasm. Parks, beaches and even back gardens have been packed with sun worshippers.
Not everyone will take the precaution of using sunscreen, even though temperatures have reached the same or higher level as in the Spanish resorts. With the rise in skin cancers, it is imperative that people protect themselves as much as possible.
They should also beware of how they behave in the sea or lakes and rivers, as experience shows tragedy often goes hand in hand with good weather.
