George is still a best-seller among football fraternity
It is 42 years since George Best kicked his last ball for Manchester United, but the legend of the football genius lives on as seen by the sales of memorabilia at the National Football Museum in Manchester. George outsold all other stars who have played for either of the city's two teams.
Forget big names who have donned the Red Devils' jersey over the years such as Eric Cantona and Roy Keane.
George is the man who still captures the imaginations of fans, even those far too young to have ever seen him play. It is fitting that he is a hit in a football museum.
For like all the best museum pieces, he would be beyond price in today's hyper-inflated transfer market.
