Grand Slam-winning skipper Rory quite simply the best

Editor's Viewpoint

What an incredible achievement by the Irish rugby team in winning the Grand Slam and being ranked second in the world to the all-conquering All Blacks. Ireland last won the Grand Slam in 2009 and only two players were part of both squads, full back Rob Kearney and captain and proud Ulsterman Rory Best. At a time when most sportsmen are looking toward retirement, Rory is looking forward to the next World Cup and turning in some of the best performances of his life. This team could be the greatest ever to represent Ireland and Rory is its leader and talisman - and a great example to every kid wanting to play the game.
