Hoops still hoping

Tonight Neil Lennon will learn his first harsh lesson as a football manager.

The Glasgow Celtic boss will either be a hero, or more likely, a villain as his team attempts to overturn a 3-0 deficit in their Champions League qualifier. But then Lennon has always been someone who has divided even his own team's fans, with some loving him and others loving to hate him.

Parkhead has a reputation as a daunting ground for visiting teams - the likes of Juventus and Manchester United have lost there - but the decline in the fortunes of the Hoops in recent times will mean tonight's Portuguese opponents will travel more in hope than in expectation of defeat. But then stranger things have happened.
