Hopes and dreams of many fans in new manager's hands

Ian Baraclough, the 13th and latest manager to take charge of the Northern Ireland soccer team, undoubtedly faces a baptism of fire. After Michael O'Neill's outstanding record it is hoped that the 13th managerial appointment will prove lucky rather than the opposite. The Northern Ireland Under-21 boss finds himself only two UEFA Nations League games away from a Euro 2020 play-off in Bosnia and Herzegovina before a potential showdown with the Irish Republic or Slovakia in Belfast to decide who goes to the finals next summer.

No pressure, then? This is not a time for faint hearts, and our wee team could still get to the finals.
