Hotels are quids in as tourists flock to see sights of Belfast
Belfast's reputation as a must-visit destination is paying dividends for the city's hoteliers with this sector of the hospitality industry among the best performing in the UK.
Not only has it led to increased revenue with average room prices rising sharply, but also to increased occupancy. Indeed in the past year, Belfast had more of its rooms occupied than any other UK city.
With five more major hotel developments currently in the works, it is evident that the city believes the tourism bonanza is set to continue.
Brexit and the weakness of sterling means more people are taking staycations. The logo may have changed, but Belfast really does have a buzz.
