Belfast man John Strutt would love to follow government advice and stay in his own home during the current pandemic.

But, as our story today reveals, he and wife Lisa have been forced to move out, leaving their three teenage children behind because treatment for his terminal cancer leaves him vulnerable to infection.

At a time when the family desperately want to be together John and Lisa are in lockdown at another location.

This is another example of how the pandemic can intrude into our lives. But all credit to the family for acting so responsibly. Many in society should show similar common sense.
