Legacy of Bangor teacher Julie Jones will live on through pupils

Editor's Viewpoint

For many pupils at school there will always be a teacher who makes a particular impression on them. We often forget the pivotal role that teachers play on young, impressionable minds and the lessons they teach, which can last a lifetime.

One such teacher was Julie Jones of Glenlola Collegiate school in Bangor, who died suddenly last Sunday. From the tributes posted since then it is clear that she was a respected member of staff, held in high regard by her peers and pupils.

Of course, the greatest loss is to her husband and two children. Perhaps their grief may be mitigated a little by the realisation that she was held in such esteem by others.
