Lifesaving work is a noble cause for bereaved family

Editor's Viewpoint

So often the tragedy of the loss of a young life leads to fundraising which may help other people to avoid such an untimely death.

Kevin King, a fit young GAA player, died suddenly almost two years ago to this day because of a rare heart condition.

His devastated brother Martin and parents Margaret and John King have been working tirelessly to raise funds, and so far they have donated over £60,000 to the British Heart Foundation to further research into rare heart conditions.

The family is now planning a King of Hearts Ball in Belfast next May to mark what would have been Kevin's 25th birthday. They deserve every support and encouragement.
