Man's best friend has found a true pal in David Foster
Some people might regard David Foster as barking for adopting a stray, bony dog on a trip to the Amazon rainforest and planning to fly it to his home in Antrim.
Certainly it is an unusual tale but it is entirely in keeping with a man who has set up a charity to help stray animals around the globe.
In an often self-centred world, it is heartening to hear of someone who is concerned about the welfare of animals which either don't have someone to care for them or are ill-treated and neglected.
David's desire to improve the lot of these animals, and in particular the stray he found, is to be applauded. He is a dog's best friend.
