Marathon efforts which give us the feelgood factor
They say that running brings out the best in many people and that is truly the case for two participants in marathons this year.
Ken Jones (85) from Strabane has shown us all a good example by running in every London Marathon since the first one in 1981.
He has remained injury-free for decades, and one of his secrets is to avoid tobacco and alcohol. He always remains young at heart.
Nearer to home, Fiona Dickson will be taking part in the Belfast Marathon to support Lupus UK and to help her daughter Alex, who has the illness. Running may be good for us, but these stories have the feelgood factor too.
