Masters apprentice

Golfer Rory McIlroy has learned a harsh lesson of the demands of sport at the highest level. His disastrous final round in the US Masters tournament turned him from being the potential winner to an also-ran. But he is a level-headed young man, with strong family support and a wonderful talent as his golf in the first three rounds of the tournament showed. At the tender age of 21, he outplayed the world's best golfers for three days. So we have little doubt that despite this crushing disappointment, he will return stronger and become a major figure - and winner - in the sport.
