Moving tributes recall true broadcasting legend Sir Terry Wogan

Editor's Viewpoint

The death of Sir Terry Wogan is a sad milestone in the history of popular broadcasting. He was a skilled professional and a warm-hearted human being to whom people could relate easily.

He was a particularly good friend to Northern Ireland, and to many of our best-known broadcasters.

These include Fr Brian D'Arcy, an accomplished broadcaster himself, who spoke movingly about his close friend. Perhaps the greatest tribute of all is that the death of Terry Wogan diminishes everyone who knew him personally or through the airwaves. Goodbye Sir Terry, and thanks for everything.
