Mr and Mrs Kennedy's three good reasons to be proud

Editor's Viewpoint

What a heart-warming story in this newspaper today on the Kennedy triplets. The three little boys were born prematurely but now, 19 months later, are thriving and the pride and joy of mum Ciara and dad John.

The level of medical care they received in the Craigavon and Ulster Hospitals was outstanding, but charity Tiny Life has also played a big part in helping the couple cope with their instant family.

It has deservedly been given a Big Lottery Fund award to enable it to continue its work with the families of premature children.

A premature birth can be very traumatic for all concerned, but with the right support it can turn out be the start of something wonderful - as the Kennedy family proves.
