NI film industry gets skates on as it continues to thrive
From a place not so many years ago where the only cameras visible were those of the news broadcasters showing the worst side of this region as the Troubles tore it apart, now it is the drama and film production companies who flock here.
The latest production to shoot locally is the biopic of Torvill and Dean, which was filmed at Dundonald Ice Bowl.
It is further positive exposure for a province that has emerged from its tragic past. Film and drama makers know that Northern Ireland punches above its weight in acting and production talent and also in providing a wide range of locations. This creative industry is one of our glowing successes.
