Referendum caddy simply wasn't unionists' cup of tea
Brexit has been shrouded in confusion from the outset, a fact somewhat typified by the misbranded tea caddy which was used in a marketing campaign in the lead up to the referendum. By signposting Ireland instead of Northern Ireland on the caddy it showed an appalling ignorance of the constituent parts of the UK and guaranteed that those who cherish the union in this part of the world were left with a bitter taste in their mouth.
Presumably those responsible for this shoddy piece of memorabilia will need more than a strong cuppa to recover from their embarrassment. But then it wasn't the first Brexit fact to bite the dust.
