News that Barry's Amusements is to open again next month for the summer season will have many traders in Portrush breathing a sigh of relief.

For the famous attraction is a magnet for holidaymakers to the town, and other businesses will benefit from the added numbers the Big Dipper and the many amusements on site will bring.

The business is still for sale, but finding new owners has been a bit of a roller coaster ride, as hopes of attracting a buyer have risen and fallen.
