Seeing more organ donors is plucky Mark's biggest goal
Readers of Mark Dobson's weekly column on his dialysis while he awaits a kidney transplant cannot fail to be inspired by his courage, good humour and consistently upbeat attitude in trying circumstances. But it is not just our readers who are fans of Mark. He has also made a big impression on the Irish Football Association for his ardent support of the international team, having missed only one home match in 18 years.
They have rewarded his loyalty by naming him Fan of the Month and there could be no more fitting recipient. But he also has another goal - to see more people sign up to become organ donors. That would be a great result for him.
