Teacher going extra mile to tell pupils they are missed

Editor's Viewpoint

Templepatrick Primary School teacher David Alcorn certainly believes in going the extra mile to cheer up his pupils and also raise money for a worthy cause. Tomorrow he will cycle past the homes of all his 32 P7 pupils and classroom assistants and give them a cheerful wave from a socially responsible distance.

It is his way of letting the children know that their continued work during lockdown is appreciated and that they are missed from school.

David also wants to pay tribute to front line NHS staff, not just for their work tackling the coronavirus pandemic, but for the care they give to all patients. Give him a donation or at least a wave tomorrow.
