Teenager Ryan draws on memory to set artistic standard
The Texaco children's art exhibition at the Ulster Museum should be compulsory viewing for anyone who wants to see art of an extraordinary standard. And we should be proud that 15 of those artists are pupils in our schools, including one prodigious talent, Ryan Hazley.
Just look at the quality of his work in this newspaper today. Remarkably it was drawn entirely from memory after just one walk around the scene. Ryan can harness his powerful imagination to conjure up wonderful art and it is little wonder that he took the top prize in the competition.
His is a name to look out for in future.
