The courage if these grieving parents is truly exceptional
Over the past two days we have carried moving interviews with two sets of parents who lost children in road traffic accidents. It is plain that Paul and Diane McCracken and Michael and Elizabeth Gallagher still grieve daily for their daughter and son respectively, even though those accidents occurred in 2009.
What is astonishing and humbling is that they - along with other bereaved parents and survivors - took part in emotionally draining road safety television adverts in the hope of saving other lives and other parents from their trauma. Their courage and altruism is to be lauded, for they are exceptional people.
