Thespian Sam McCready has left remarkable legacy
the death of actor, playwright and theatre director Sam McCready marks the end of a life well-lived by a talented Ulsterman.
Sam made his mark not only locally but also internationally, and divided his time and considerable creative talent between Northern Ireland and Baltimore, where he taught for many years at the University of Maryland.
He was a founder member of the Lyric Theatre, which has paid a warm tribute and sent condolences to his family.
Sam McCready wore his considerable talent lightly and has left a rich legacy.
In the world of the theatre and further afield, he will be sadly missed.
