Two neighbours from hell get proper comeuppence
It was a court decision that will cheer up everyone who has ever experienced living beside their neighbours from hell.
Two Tyrone men who had appealed their convictions for carrying out a harassment campaign against a neighbour not only had their convictions confirmed, but their sentences increased.
In making the ruling, the judge said he was determined to stamp out the behaviour, which included the erection of an obscenely-worded sign, spraying slurry and revving a chainsaw loudly on the day the victim's daughter was being married. The courts are sometimes criticised for being too lenient, but should be applauded on this occasion.
