Young baker rises to the top with his charitable efforts

Who says that honesty does not pay?

Our story today of the 21-year-old baker who has Down's Syndrome and who has raised almost £8,000 for charities and other good causes from his products is a heartwarming one in a couple of respects.

Firstly he has put his own challenges to one side to help others. Secondly he collects much of the money in a honesty box situated at the bottom of the lane leading to his home in Co Down where those who buy his products leave their donations.

This shows a tremendous generosity of spirit as well as honesty. The willingness of people to help others less fortunate never ceases to inspire.
