Fair play to caddy Ricky for bagging £151k at US Open
It is every golfer’s dream to be standing on the 18th green of a Major such as the US Open, soaking up the applause of the fans during what is one of the great occasions in the sport.
The good news is that Portrush man Ricky Elliott is making quite the habit of this, having been caddy for champion Brooks Koepka during his remarkable back-to-back US Open victories.
Ricky is a good golfer himself, being a former Ulster Boys’ and Ulster Youths’ champion.
He now has the reflected glory of a second Major — and his prize money of £151,000 this past weekend has given him yet another 151,000 reasons to smile.
