Abortion law needs retained

Justice Minister David Ford and Health Minister Edwin Poots are due to publish proposals soon regarding reform of the Northern Ireland abortion law.

This law recognises that there are two lives involved – mother and child – and seeks to preserve life, only allowing abortion in cases where the mother's life is at risk, or where there is a grave risk to her physical or mental health.

We should retain this valuable piece of legislation as it is.
