Abundance of all, except work

The greatest bankruptcy today is of ideas. There is a deficit of clear thinking.

The world has reached a level of excellence that has rendered economic philosophy unworkable in a time of abundance of everything, except work.

This is not a recession: it is a new era of productive power that diminishes levels of work.

It is a tragedy that, at the best time there ever was, millions are being forced to live in misery because we refuse to consider how technology has transformed economic activity.
