Amnesty failing unborn children

I note with interest that Amnesty International are weighing into the current abortion debate.

This organisation is known for its support for justice and human rights for all human beings. One would, therefore, have thought that they would be championing the equal human rights of the unborn child and the mother.

However, in their support for the insertion of new clauses into the Northern Ireland abortion law to widen the availability of abortion here, they clearly are not standing up for the principle of equality.

This would imply that Amnesty are no longer the "gold standard" when it comes to the issue of human rights.

For the record, what is Amnesty International's official position on the human rights of unborn children?
