An innocent child in mother's womb must be defended

The current abortion legislation in Northern Ireland is in breach of human rights laws, according to the High Court in Belfast last week.

Does this not beg the question: does an innocent child in its mother's womb not come under the definition of a human being? Does a child not have human rights - the most basic being to life?

We talk at length about protecting the vulnerable and the downtrodden - all in the name of civil liberties. Yet, a so-called court of justice rules that our conservative anti-abortion laws are in breach of human rights.

It has been demonstrated in other countries, like Britain and America, that where abortion was brought in on medical grounds this opened the floodgates to abortion on demand - to the extent that 50 million babies have been aborted in America since the 1970s.

American Planned Parenthood - responsible for carrying out many of these - was exposed by some of its own staff for selling aborted baby body parts in a gruesome video.

There is a real possibility that we are in danger of calling evil good and good evil.

As stated by God Himself, one of the things He hates is the shedding of innocent blood.
