Bad tactics do not help Man United

Once again in a European context Manchester United have come unstuck as a consequence of employing over-complicated tactics and a formation that does not suit their style of play.

By playing to their strengths, usually a 4-4-2 formation which enables their world-class striker Wayne Rooney to flourish with the aid of a foil in attack and two wingers, through giving 100% and defending in addition to attacking as a team, irrespective of victory or defeat, this is the approach that Manchester United should adopt in every game. The only variable that should alter from game to game is the personnel.
