Big 'thank you' to Kevin Myers

Thank you, thank you, Kevin Myers, for having the courage to speak out on our developing practice of celebrating the lives of reckless car-crash teens (Comment, September 2).

He is reflecting what most right-minded people are thinking and saying, even if the vast majority are afraid to state so publicly.

He's spot-on, too, in saying these are not 'accidents', but crashes and that is how they should be described.

The practice of making heroes out of teenagers who made bad choices needs to stop.
