Black warranted the death penalty

I just read that the late murderer and child-torturer Robert Black has had his remains scattered in the ocean (News, February 20).

A more fitting dispersal would have been for his ashes to be scattered in the local sewer facility after the atrocities which he carried out.

Surely it is time to bring back the death penalty for such monsters?
