Burchill opinion is rather Fawlty
Julie Burchill's reference to Germans "walking into other people's countries as if they owned them" is true enough (Comment, October 7).
However, as the regimes responsible ceased to exist long before present generations reached adult understanding, her reproach smacks somewhat of Basil Fawlty.
