Cardinal should step down

As a consequence of the child sex-abuse scandal in the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland it is only fit and proper that Cardinal Brady resigns his position to signal the end of a sorry chapter in its history on the island of Ireland.

The commencement of a new era should coincide with the Roman Catholic Church being brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century with an end to the vow of celibacy undertaken by its leaders allowing them to engage in lawful sexual relations with other humans.
