Coastal road ruined by unruly racers

The sun shone brightly on Sunday and out of the closet came the mad bikers.

Living on the Coast Road outside Larne, we are blighted by the stupidity of the majority of motorbike users who show no consideration for anyone.

End of national speed limit signs seems to mean 'go mad' to many of them.

Where are the PSNI traffic cops when you really need them before we begin to count the carnage on our beautiful coast road again this year?

I know all about bikes having ridden one safely for the past 30 years (most of them are over 750cc), but gave up last year not wanting to part of this madness any more.

The peace and quiet of this beautiful area is being spoilt by the unnecessary roar of bikes.

I suggest we ban bikes from the Coast Road every Sunday.
