Cohen touched souls with wonderful songs
Some wonderfully talented individuals have graced us with their presence on this planet. Some have even managed to touch our souls.
Leonard Cohen explored religion, politics, isolation, sexuality and personal relationships. That deep bass voice, with a quiver to it, belting out Hallelujah in all its glory. From its opening string swells to its steel guitar flourishes and choir crescendo. Magical.
My favourite was Dance Me To The End Of Love. I just adore the tango scene from the movie Scent Of A Woman, in which Al Pacino played blind man Frank and led Donna in a spectacular tango on the dance floor.
Goodbye, sir, goodbye. I hope you'll meet your beloved Marianne and Dance Her To The End Of Love in heaven.
