Condemning foetuses to death is inhuman
Brian McClinton, Editor of the Irish Freethinker, in his letter (Write Back, July 7) lists categories of human suffering in our world.
The causes of human suffering are many, from innate genetic propensity for dreadful illnesses, social tyranny by political despots and natural disasters, to tsunamis to earthquakes.
Given all the combinations of causal variability, suffering is relative (some suffer more than others).
However, the right to life is absolute. For one, like Mr McClinton, who is alive, to sit in judgment on a "foetus before viability" is the epitome of arrogance and illogical reasoning.
