Dinosaurs must fall into line for Sunday football
AT last, professional football comes to Northern Ireland on a Sunday. The decision of Europe's football governing body Uefa to set competition qualifying dates for a Sunday, will at last force the dinosaurs who run the national game in Northern Ireland to fall into line with other associations across the world.
Naturally, we will be forced to listen to the views of the 'Never on a Sunday' brigade and the DUP bible thumpers who would still, if they had their way, chain up the swings in the park on a Sunday.
Any match at Windsor Park on a Sunday would take place mid-afternoon, allowing us to go to churches and worship our Gods in the morning.
