Dissidents belong to the past

Dissident republican groups represent less than 1pc of the population of Ireland, have no political mandate and are waging a paramilitary campaign which to date has failed and is only increasing British security.

Dissident republicans will never derail the peace process which John Hume began with his peace talks with the IRA and Gerry Adams, or the Good Friday Agreement for which people like me voted for a new beginning and an end to the Troubles.

Dissident republicans are the past and will never be part of a new 21st century Ireland.
