Do Palestinian kids not deserve rights?
People often say that the Israel-Palestine conflict is very complicated.
However, there is one aspect of it which is quite simple: the question of human rights.
At present, under Israeli military rule, Palestinian children as young as 12, accused of throwing stones, are taken into custody and interrogated with no audio-visual recording and no family member, or lawyer, present; imprisoned on the basis of confessions they have signed in Hebrew, a language they do not understand, and regularly put into solitary confinement.
There is no security justification for any of this.
