Does Alasdair not remember his own U-turn?
I couldn't believe my ears when SDLP leader Alasdair McDonnell castigated DUP leader Peter Robinson on his lack of leadership over the U-turn on the proposed Long Kesh peace centre.
Could I remind Mr McDonnell about his U-turn on the Spad bill and his total lack of leadership on that issue.
In fact Mr McDonnell used the same excuse as Peter Robinson in that there has to be a hierarchy of victims and nothing else could be tolerated. He did his U-turn even though his party had already stated that this was bad legislation and shouldn't go ahead.
Before Mr McDonnell attempts to make political capital out of another weak leader maybe he should examine his own conscience and see how he capitulated to the naysayers of the peace process.
