Does McCrea want tit-for-tat HET arrests?
Mr Basil McCrea, UUP MLA, is said to have complained that the PSNI's Historical Enquiries Team (HET) has arrested too many loyalists and not enough Provisional IRA.
Apparently, of more than 3,000 historical cases to be investigated, there have been 71 arrests so far and 70 of those are loyalists.
Mr McCrea warns that this imbalance will give rise to "potential problems". This is old Paisley speak - advertise the problems to agitate them into reality.
For 30 years we had tit-for-tat murders. Now, Mr McCrea says, we should have tit-for-tat arrests. Not much of a change of attitude.
