Don't forget... Rome wasn't built in a day
UNITED States envoy Richard Haass believes that Northern Ireland could return to violence if progress is not made in dealing with outstanding issues of the 'peace process'.
However, the word 'could' is a play on words. We all 'could' win this weekend's Lottery. It isn't more likely as it is unlikely.
Northern Ireland is a complex place. There are difficulties with opposite religious communities regarding parades and flags. Sporadic acts of violence can, and will continue to occur (though they now appear limited to the marching season).
Rome wasn't built in a day and it may take another generation before a solid peace and respectfulness of each other arrives.
Dr Haass may be correct. Then again, a woman 'could' win the next US presidential election.
