Don't let silly visitors destroy Dark Hedges

The Dark Hedges are amazing. On a recent trip to Northern Ireland, I was introduced to them, but the damage being done to them - to the verges, particularly - is very sad.

Massive coaches pull onto the verge, destroying the grass and eroding the earth, passing within centimetres of the overhanging branches. It is only a matter of time before one is brought down.

Cars also park along the road, rubbing away the ground the trees are growing in, despite a free car park being available a few hundred metres away.

Come on, Northern Ireland. Don't let a natural phenomenon like the Dark Hedges get destroyed in a few years of mindless visitors. Stop the coaches and ban parking on the road.
