Elderly long for psalms on radio
Hoorah for Dr John Dunlop for including a paraphrase in Sunday worship (Weekend Review, October 3).
Have Presbyterian churches not got the "nerve" to include psalms in services any more?
I know, I know: services are all geared towards the young, but are more like concerts, with the singing of songs rather than hymns.
BBC Sunday morning services leave the elderly unable to participate in the worship - we do miss the beautiful psalms.
Will someone think of the elderly who can't get to church and who long for a good old-fashioned service on the radio?
