Elderly trapped in a private hell

Consultation: every old person would prefer to be in their own home. Option: run down care homes then sell them to the private sector at a bargain price. Result: owners profit from elderly .

Some 'care providers' only pay workers for the 15 minutes they spend at a home. They can be on the road for 45 minutes without pay. The state will pay tax credits to low-paid workers, while benefits go to the homes' owners. And so the elderly get more miserable.
