End the secrecy over political donations in Northern Ireland

The electorate today no longer trusts, or believes, self-serving politicians to deliver anything remotely beneficial to them (as the RHI scandal has clearly demonstrated).

We have the right to demand more probity from our politicians. We need to know exactly who funds the parties here. It is really quite ridiculous that political donations are still made in secret in Northern Ireland.

I am reminded by the Roman satirist Juvenal, which my Latin master at Stowe, PG Hunter, so often used to quote to us: "Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?" ("Who will guard the guards themselves?")
