EU rules pushing farmers too far

I deeply regret the death of another young hardworking conscientious farmer last week owing to a tragic farm accident.

If farmers were allowed to carry out their farm operations when weather and ground conditions permitted, and not be dictated to by some EU regulation which puts farmers under pressure to keep within EU timescales, less accidents may occur.

Is it acceptable for our impractical dictatorial bureaucrats sitting in centrally-heated offices at least 500 miles away and far removed from the realities of everyday agriculture to have such a say in our our everyday affairs?
