Gaelic voicemail hardly a hotline

Re, No calls to Stormont's Ulster Scots line (news, August 20).

This over an eight-year period. Cue partisan hoots of derision from Gaelic language promoters. Comment forums are full of them. Sneering, crowing 'Just a dialect, not a language. Gross misapplication of funding'.

Now rewrite that headline. 'Only 46 calls to Stormont's Gaelic line in eight years'. Almost six a year. Hell's bells boys. English will be wiped out in weeks.
