God can be our saviour from addiction woes

I was listening to The Stephen Nolan show on Radio Ulster the other morning. The topic of overeating (which Stephen frequently addresses) was being debated; in particular, the suggestion that junk food should be taxed.

A Belfast caller said: "I hate myself when I walk into a chippy." This statement shocked me and, as a Christian, I firmly believe that the reason so many people struggle with different addictions is that they have not discovered their true purpose in life.

No junk tax or fitness instructor can change how we are on the inside. I think that the one who really knows how we are on the inside is God and our real problem is that we don't know Him.
